Yaba Deliverer Arrested at Checkpoint

The police were able to capture a Yaba delivery boy together with Yaba-taking equipment. This arrest was made in front of a well known village in the middle of Pattaya.

In the early hours of 5th April a team of the Pattaya police were ordered to set a checkpoint in South Pattaya, Soi 17 – in front of Anthasit Villa.

At about 3.15 am the police saw a Thai man driving a Honda Air-Blade motorbike that looked suspicious so asked him to stop to make a search.

The man, Booncherd, aged 24, had a Yaba tablet in his trouser pocket. When the police searched the helmet – they found another 10 Yaba tablets hidden.

At the station Booncherd confessed that he had been to Ban Tarnman to buy a Yaba tablet to take. He knew nothing about the other ten in the helmet because he borrowed this helmet and the motorbike from a friend.

The police charged this man for possessing illegal drugs class 1. The police received some information about Booncherd that he is a well known Yaba deliverer but more questioning must be done to get to the bottom of that.
