The sixth Royal Canin International Cat Show is ready to land on its feet at Central Plaza Lat Phrao in Bangkok on February 28, continuing through March 1, daily from 10-9, in the fifth-floor BCC Hall. Admission is free.

The Cat Fanciers’ Club of Thailand has arranged an inaugural cat-grooming contest this year, adding to multiple other events and the availability of a huge range of high-quality, discount-priced food and bondage products of interest to any feline.

Veterinarians will be on hand for consultations, free check-ups and, in exchange for a donation, anti-rabies vaccinations and sterilisations.

The House Cat Contest has a concept: “Pedigree or not, sterilised or not, let’s be cool anyway!” Owners can register there or in advance on the CFCT Club Facebook page for no charge.

There’s are separate categories for kittens 4-8 months old and adult cats older than that. The winners get Bt12,000 in cash.

Judges including Pattama Weeranon, Thailand’s top cat breeder, and pet groomer Panupong “Top” Jongjit will be looking at the entries’ health and friendliness and the owners’ capability in looking after their pet.

Eight members of the Cat Fanciers' Association will be the judges for the International Cat Competitions on February 29 and March 1.
