Emini Trading Hardware

Looking for some hardware and maybe somebody here knows what I'm talking about...

I'm a former open outcry derivatives trader. We had some guys upstairs that traded eMinis (on the SPX) based on the big futures orders that the floor traders were going to put in.

Anyway, my question is regarding the equipment these guys used. They had game controllers (just like a PS2) that had different functions programmed into the buttons (i.e. left = sell at bid, right, sell at offer, etc.). Everything was instantaneos and orders were placed as fast as you could play with the controller.

Does anybody know where to get this type of hardware/software? I know we had our own in-house programmers at the time, but that was back in 2000 and maybe the technology has spread.
