I've had posters defend their use of Hannity, Carlson, Judge whatshername and other pundits as reliable sources of information.  Not worth the trouble of digging them up, but I assure you there are many Fox News viewers who think watching the pundit shows is the same as watching the news.  Apparently Trump is one of them.

 

BTW, did Maddow ever falsely accuse Trump of murder?

Healthy skepticism is always in order.  However actively seeking out news sources that confirm what you want to believe is not healthy skepticism.  Rejecting all news that you don't like is willful ignorance.

 

A less paranoid interpretation of events is that CNN reported what had been provided by a trusted source, then updated the story when additional information was available.
