Warning Message Every Time Windows Updates

Featured Replies

I think I can trace this problem to a few days ago when I was downloading software like Morpheus and Limewire to play music.

I have a genuine copy of Windows, and every time it updates I get the following warning message when I turn on the PC:

"THE SYSTEM DLL USER 32 WAS RELOCATED IN MEMORY. THE APPLICATION WILL NOT RUN PROPERLY. THE RELOCATION OCCURRED BECAUSE THE DLL C:\ WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\HHCTRL.OCX OCCUPIED AN ADDRESS RANGE RESERVED FOR WINDOWS SYSTEM DLLs. THE VENDOR SUPPLYING THE DLL SHOULD BE CONTACTED FOR A NEW DLL"

The only way to solve the problem is to restore before the update, and the message disappears. But I need the updates- I think?

I removed all the downloaded software, but still get the message after Widows updates.

Any ideas what's going on, and how I can fix the problem?

Thanks

Hi Mobi

There's a similar thread with information on a fix here. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=114551

Hope that helps.

Thanks Farma - I used the hotfix link in the other thread and the problem is solved. So it was nothing to do with my software downloading - just a coincidence.

Admin, you can close this thread as it is a duplicate of the other one.

Thanks once again :o
