Low Season - High Season

Featured Replies

I am now running a new company on Koh Phangan and am baffeled by the lack of tourists that are here now. Does anyone have a good of when the high and low seasons are so that I can better prepare for the future?

High Season

11th Jan to 30th Apr

High Season

16th July to 15th Sept

your milage may vary ..........................

Koh Phangan is generally beginning of december to middle of April--depending on when the FMP occurs (we don't get as many Thais for Songkran as Samui does). Then August is generally busy (Italian month) and Sept can be pretty decent with the gap year kids.

But, every FMP the island will get noticeably busier, even in the low season.

I was just in Phangan and it was much busier than I had seen it before. Granted, I was there during the full moon, but not at the party areas.

I was surprised at the number of families with small children and even infants.

If you think it's slow now, you are in for a very rude awakening soon. . . .
