Well they dont throw gays off buildingsor flog them or censor movies do they? So your pathetic attempt at drawing an equivalence fails miserably.

But they did nail some poor lad to a cross for preaching peace and love.

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.

Then why do many of them vote for the adulterer and serial liar Trump?

Because they know Jesus said much about forgiveness and did not condemn lying.

The Old Testament is about Jews and I have no idea why it is included for Christians.

Don't know who you are talking about. Jesus didn't talk about peace, and his "love" referred only to one's neighbour. He wasn't speaking in English, so "love" is probably the wrong word anyway.

He was crucified for threatening the established authority, not for being a peacenik.

That reminds me that Christians banned this wonderful movie not so long ago:

"The film contains themes of religious satire that were controversial at the time of its release, drawing accusations of blasphemy, and protests from some religious groups. Thirty-nine local authorities in the United Kingdom either imposed an outright ban, or imposed an X (18 years) certificate, effectively preventing the film from being shown, since the distributors said it could not be shown unless it was unedited and carried the original AA (14) certificate. Some countries, including Ireland and Norway, banned its showing, with a few of these bans lasting decades."
