Koh_Falang Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 Here is my situation. Im coming over to Thailand on a holiday in September and my girlfriend and I wish to go to Hongkong for a couple of days and then return to Thailand. Will i have any problems in getting another 30 day visa on return to Bangkok from HongKong?
thaihome Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 Assuming you are from one of eligible countries (most western countries), you will be given a visa wavier 30-day entry stamp. Having left Thailand a couple days before returning will [should) have no bearing on getting another one. TH
Axel Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 thaihome is absolutely correct. You might, however, be asked by the airline in HKG to show an confirmed ticket getting you out of LOS within the 30-days-period.

Not that i cant produce a ticket but... just curious... I will have a return ticket for both Thailand and Hongkong. I just want to make sure that i wont have any issues in getting another 30day visa once i get back into Thailand. Or just continuing on my prvious 30day visa. ANyways... aslong as they dont give me trouble... i just wanna know what to look out for... Cheers
dr_Pat_Pong Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 Your worry is getting accepted in Hong Kong as a passenger on a flight into Thailand without either a 60 day Thai visa or an outbound ticket from Thailand within 30 days.
thaihome Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 [Or just continuing on my prvious 30day visa. You don't have a visa. You are entering Thailand on a visa wavier that gives you a 30-day permit to stay. That ends everytime you leave and you get a new 30-day stamp each time you enter. There are people that have been staying in Thailand for years on visa wavier, leaving and re-entering, often the same day, every 30 days. Since you do not have a Thai visa, there is a chance that when checking in at the airline counter, you will be asked to produce a ticket that shows you leaving Thailand within 30 days. TH
