A Chinese woman who caused a Covid-19 panic after spitting on a Saraburi bound bus and a train has been arrested.

The woman was taken into custody by the tourist police at Hualampong Station, the Bangkok terminus.

She was then taken to Sirirat hospital at 11 pm on Thursday night.

Dr Wisit Wamwanich said that she had a fever and had been coughing for three weeks.

She was not cooperative but was very angry with her being apprehended.

She was sedated and isolated. No relatives have come to see her.

She is thought to have a heart related problem or flu.

But she has been tested for coronavirus and results were due at 9 am.

Transport officials said she had travelled on bus number 904-321 from Chatuchak to Saraburi leaving Bangkok at 1 pm and arriving in the central Thai town at 3.15 pm.

She had spat gum and saliva into a tissue.

In another report Sanook reported that the Chinese woman on the bus had been annoyed after an alcohol spray entered her mouth causing her to want to spit.

There appeared to have been some language problems in the altercation.

Another report said she was tested negative but I doubt if the results could come as quickly as it supposedly did

that 'might' be a sort of alibi, for the instantaneous spontaneous reaction to being assaulted by the wayward alcohol

- but not for the following repertoire repeated repeatedly

however... 'chicken before the egg'

-was the alcohol spray a response to an even easlier 'output' from her?

it has nothing to do with your beliefs

its  not  about "beliefs" its  about  statements of  fact by specialists outside of  Thailand people who are  not  towing a line or  impeded by the state with a thought based education. Just  look at  Anutin, he  speaks on behalf  of  the govt................you trust him?

Now you've mentioned that guy, shouldn't he be giving out mad press conference rants about dirty Chinese, or dirty Asians .... spitting and wiping bodily fluids on everything.

Yes, the specialists outside Thailand are really looking like they do much better. Have you ever cared about taking a look at the number of infections? Or are you also one of those that believes WHO are just praising Thailand for lying?

Ohhh, so she was sick and probably knew she was sick and still started taking it out on everyone else by spitting at everyone. Yeah ok then if that’s the case not much sympathy. I actually felt bad for her until I read this second article.

and again this is why it is so important for white farangs to wear a mask in public to show solidarity with Thai people in their battle with the virus.

it has nothing to do with your beliefs about how effective a mask is.

Thais are scared now.

Where can I buy ANY mask ? ? ?

There are two things in Thailand, truth and beliefs, as we all know they are thought of in equal measure by different factions of the country...

It's not hard to wear a mask or any kind of protection when you go out... just make your own statement..

"I'm doing something" is better than doing nothing.

That's what the officials did at the start, and that got us where we are today!

The world should take China country to ICC( international criminal court) and charge them with world public endangerment. Just like Europe did after WWI(Treaty of Versailles) Germany paid big price in land and gold for starting WWI.  This virus is no different than starting a war.

Penalty:  Elimination of all trade deficit with China : THIS IS WHAT WILL TEACH THEM A LESSON.

They took Tibet, East Turkmenistan started SARS and free world did NOTHING !!.

PRC has no respect for anything that free world stands for!!!!

I have zero love for the CCP. And I have many issues with China's governance and actions on the world stage. But there is no comparison between a government specifically deciding to invade other nations as an act of war, and (possible) incompetence or cover-ups resulting in spreading a virus that occurs in nature. Start down this road, and there will be no end to the nonsense.

But the white farangs don't wear them in BKK.

face masks lol

can't get them anywhere in Pattaya from approved suppliers - some markets have them but you never know where they have been, several reports recently about recycled hospital waste being sold as new

i just saw a post on the big forum with your towns name sake showing masks for sale on the street.

they are much more organized with a mission statement banner and three topics devoted to covering the virus.

oh my god.  these article writers must go to the same school as yahoo trash article writers.  Title says spat on the bus, but it sounds more like the woman used a tissue.  Goodness that is a big difference.  So now if a person blows their nose .. bring in the hazmat suits?

She’s Chinese, so they are reversing course
