TG will stop flying

Featured Replies

Just been to TG office in Silom trying to rebook a ticket to Oz whereby i was informed that TG

will stop flying to oz and presumably to other disenations from end of this month and will resume

early July, check their website for more information...

this all just a 'massively' extrapolated version of the Australian (striking) airline stoppages in 1989

During that period, the airlines taskings; all came under the wing of the best carrier of immediacy the C130s from the military.

Now; there are also the even bigger Galaxys, C17s and Antonovs.

Depending on which Aus destination (SYD, MEL, BNE, PER) I believe there are between 2-7 days left to catch the last THAI Airways flight.

The fly/don't fly situation is dynamic and I can't say here where I heard this but I believe it to be pretty reliable.

Apart from the UK, TG flights to European cities are currently almost full outbound and almost empty on the return. I think that relying on TG continuing these routes more than a few days from now is a big gamble.

Yep, here in Auckland the last TG flight flew out yesterday. Nothing scheduled from now until June 30.
