Trump risks blowback from war of words with China over coronavirus

It's quite obvious from listening to most of the latest Trump broadcasts that the only thing that really interests him is getting reelected  in November.

The corona virus is a secondary issue which is becoming an obstruction to this aim.

Disgraceful but hardly surprising.

Not to worry. Corona has already beaten Trump. Mylie Cyrus could beat him, at this point in November. His presidency is dead. Every day he shoots himself in the foot. Some of the things he has been saying about the virus are the very opposite of the kind of leadership a nation needs in a time of crisis. If only they could get him to lay off his phone for a few days, the markets might correct a bit. Every time he tweets, the markets drop. What can one even say about this guy?

If he'd handled this outbreak in the best way in the history of man ..... you'd still be slamming him.

The question I ask, 'has he done any worse than anyone else in any other country?', and the answer is 'not really'.

.... not to mention the USD is doing far better than any other western currency at this time ........

       Trump and the rest of the world needs to ween itself off Chinese reliance for all major goods, China has such a powerful economic sense of power, that it needs to be curbed. I'm convinced China would not hesitate release a virus to help it gain whatever its after, and to think China's economic upturn has been the result of many years espionage and stealing trade secrets from the West. I'm not touching Chinese goods with a barge pole now.

Print money today, and worry about the consequences tomorrow. Not saying that helping the average pleb out is wrong. But, for the average person, is that $1000 really going to make the difference? Of course I would still be slamming him. He is the utter representation of incompetency. He rarely gets it right. He waited about 6-8 weeks too long, to act. There were warnings back in December. Before his famous lockdown of China on Feb. 2nd, he allowed over 300,000 Chinese to come in January. And even after the lockdown, he allowed US citizens to return from Hebei province, and Chinese with green cards, to freely come and go, without any of them being checked. Competent?

Just about every country in the world is printing money to help out their populations. It will all level out, so don't stress too much about the value of the greenback. They're all going down together.

It’s not Trump or American reliance on China, it’s a decision made by businesses.

 

To get that changed it is necessary to change laws and regulations.
