At dusk there are people, including kids walking, riding bikes and playing badminton. I usually go for a bike ride. I too bike everyday but it is a solitary activity. Until there is a curfew in place, you are not banned from going out, so I do not see a problem with getting daily exercise by walking or biking alone. After that, it will largely depend on conditions of the curfew.

Many single moms going to the big city to work and send money home to grandparents who are "raising" their children. This was back in 2014.There are millions more now . Now with this crisis, they'll have to come home and some will bring the disease home to their parents and put them in dire risk, especially if they have existing health issues. Communal water glass and sticky rice sharing, without fully understanding what will happen. This was years ago,and there are millions more now. https://www.unicef.org/media/media_73914.html No one needs a link. Anyone with half a brain knows that’s what happens. It’s Thai culture.

March 26, 20206 yr Struth. Having read 11 pages of this, people have the nerve to criticise the Thais for not having a clue.

Two or three times a week (not regular and not daily), I drive about 5 minutes to a nearby, suburban lake that has and excellent cycle path around it and burn about an hour of calories on my bike. The lake isn't part of my moobahn so the locals don't know me from Adam. Facing the risk of some local busybody calling the anti-corona panic line and being SWAT-teamed by a bunch of bored and indolent cops or maybe one of them smart BMW's... I reckon I will just double-up on the treadmill in the lounge.

March 26, 20206 yr Popular Post Actually, the Generals are ignorant that every country has foreigners. They are ignorant that in most every other country, politicians don't generally ever make any distinction between local people and people from other countries who are there legally as temporary residents/visitors. If any distinction is made it is usually for a specific reason but not to target the two groups differently. They are just ignorant, unfortunately. It's to do with poor schooling, lack of overseas travel and a weird sense of superiority.

First sensible thing theyve said............be totally ignored, saw two staff in Global house mock shagging each other 2 days ago, really going for it, all their friends surrounding them thought it was hilarious...............was ok though, they both had masks on.

March 26, 20206 yr This is becoming serious, it’s great coming out with all this rubbish about shopping malls. People find other things to do. Go to 7/11, stand on a street corner, there are groups of many people, drinking and chatting. You need a serious lockdown. Martial law, is the only way you will slow or halt the progress of this virus. Putting up false figures makes people think oh! It’s not that bad. Put out the real figures and frighten people.

What a load of cobblers. Stay away from other people who you do not know where they've been or in contact with. Wash hands every time you touch something. And to keep others happy, wear that mask. Try explaining to Thai's "the touch effect". To them and some others it's much more difficult to learn not to touch something that other people just handled than learning proper English! I would like to believe your right, and its up to them to shut down the venues as indicated in the decree, but maybe the governor has a big set of cajones, the Prayut led Government Emergency operations center is in charge and once they get wind of non conforming provinces, i fear the worst....it only take a few...then all pay
