Thai chef in NYC dies of COVID-19

Breaking-News.jpg

A Thai chef, working at a Thai restaurant in New York City, died of COVID-19 today.

A Facebook post, by a compatriot in New York City, reported that the chief, identified only as “Jeed”, suffered from diabetes before he contracted the virus.

After realizing that he might be infected, Jeed went to a hospital, and was given medicines and told to return home. He eventually died at home.

Jeed, according to the post, was a friendly and good-natured person who was loved by his friends and colleagues.

He becomes the second Thai national to die of COVID-19 infection in the United States.

The first victim, 66-year old Mrs. Phailin Chanakha, also worked as a chef, but at another Thai restaurant in Washington DC. She died at Medstar Georgetown Hospital.

Guess you haven't had time to read all the reports, understandable but had a 44 yo Texas man father of 6 died 2 days after diagnosis no underlying conditions worked out ate healthy took vitamins. Same scenario with 21 and 16 yo girls in England. This virus can kill anyone any age any health condition  PS Don't  take Ibuprofen (Advil/Motrin) for temperature  use acetaminophen (Tylenol )  Many of the dead had Ibuprofen in system.

Sad but if true the young people 16 & 21 that died in the UK should be used in "advertising"

to alert everyone to the fact that it is NOT just the sick & elderly who are at risk.

Might help some younger people think again.

As hospitals get full & caring staff become less more younger prople will die as a % just

due to the care needed will not be available.

Stay isolated as best you can & stay safe

No.and especially if you have the virus your body will be over loaded with body waste created by the virus a person will need huge amounts of vit.c to help clear the body out. There is enough information out there about what vit.c will do

The body absorbs the vitamin C it needs. Any excess is eventual discharged as waste. Pointless trying to take massive amounts as the body will just dump it. Also taken too much can inhibit the uptake of other essential nutrients, as I found out many years ago and spent a week in hospital as a result of listening to quack advice about taking it for a particularly bad cold.

So he died WITH the virus ... not FROM the Virus !!!

Just in case that anybody want to know what SCIENCE says about the Corona virus:

The New England Journal of Medicine [the most renowned Journal for medicine in the World !!!]

Link to the Article: https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMe2002387

... This suggests that the overall clinical consequences of Covid-19 may ultimately be more akin to those of a severe seasonal influenza (which has a case fatality rate of approximately 0.1%) or a pandemic influenza (similar to those in 1957 and 1968) rather than a disease similar to SARS or MERS, which have had case fatality rates of 9 to 10% and 36%, respectively.

The PANIC is real ... the PANDEMIC is not !!!

My 1000 mg Vit C tablets say they give 1,666.67 % of Thai RDI, recommended daily intake.

Does that mean I could cut the tablets into 16 bits and STILL get 100 RDI?

Citing individual cases, while tragic, does not change the statistics.

Multiply the morbidity percentages times your odds of actually being infected.

If you are under 50, and healthy, this is practically a non-event, personally.

Of course, you still need to consider the consequences of spreading the virus to those who are at risk.
