Crossing Between Chon Buri Province and Rayong Province

Anybody any experience of crossing between Chon Buri and Rayong Provinces, specifically between  Bang Saray and Ban Chang? Any issues, road blocks, health checks . questioning about reason etc?

Large police presence outside Mega Home Ban Chang  just now. Rumour is they are looking for a farang who posted disparaging remarks about Phala beach.

On Saturday morning absolutely nothing, all the way from Ban Chang to Pattaya and back with no roadblocks/checkpoints, nothing, and that was on the main roads.

 

Have a checkpoint as you are coming in to Ban Chang just past Mega home, but very limited checking now....not like the first day when it was full checking .....for the photo ops i guess!!, besides if you are in the left lane doing the U turn no checks anyway.
