Number of people seeking unemployment benefits on the rise

As many as 144,861 people have registered for social security benefits for unemployment in the month of March, marking a 41.89 per cent and 48.38 per cent increase compared to January and February respectively, Suchart Phonchaiwisetkun, director-general of the Department of Employment, revealed on Friday (April 3).

Transport Co suspends inter-provincial bus services

In response to the 10pm-4am nationwide curfew, Transport Co has announced that it will stop all inter-provincial bus services as of Friday (April 3) until further notice. The company said lockdowns announced in different provinces and social-distancing measures were making it difficult to operate.

LONDON (Reuters) - A new hospital, built in under two weeks in a conference centre in London to provide thousands of extra beds to treat those who have contracted coronavirus, will open its doors on Friday.

Grab scraps Bt3 app fee after complaints

Grab Thailand has scrapped the Bt3 charge to use its courier and shopping-delivery app after customers slammed the fee this week. Grab apologised to users and stopped collecting the extra fee for GrabExpress and GrabAssistant from Friday (April 3).
