Hello Everyone!

I would like to gather as much information as possible regarding custom bike tours in Thailand.

Not the "commercial, luxurious and hyper comfortable tours", but rather the "exciting, hardcore and educational ones".

A good balance between going deep into the amazing nature and history, plus some of the cool "tourist spots and beaches.

If you could please share your experiences and knowlegde about how to plan, organize and execute a killer tour, we'll all be very stocked!

Things like:

0. where to arrive in Thailand for this purpose (visiting the North and Coastline).

1. best place to rent your 250 cc dirtybike, for 1 week, or two weeks (price and bike conditon).

2. best routes (or loops) to take on your 1 week or 2 week tour (best maps with best sights to see).

4. best places to stay overnight (great deals around 800-1000 bhat per night).

5. best places to scuba dive, snorkel, go fishing, etc. (all cool activities).

6. best resorts, towns and villages to visit (food, dancing, etc).

7. best places to meet some cool people, get hooked up, and party.

We are now trying to gather a group from Cananda, and another from Japan.

The time of our visit is not confirmed yet (end May - July 2007).

We are trying to keep it on a "low budget", so we can all have a chance to make it happen.

Also, looking for brothers/sisters to join us!

I know of people who have done some good dirt tours through cambo.. Cheap too

There is a Brit guy based in Pattaya that does serious off road tours. He has some 250cc off roaders and does the whole package, pick up from hotel, all the riding gear, lunch, water etc. Its not for the amateur though. Its an all day thing and you do a lot of miles. His tracks are GPS logged so there is no chance of getting lost. I know the guy personally and he has put a hel_l of a lot of effort into doing a decent ride.
