Today's numbers exactly as stated. I wrote 14795÷435128 => 3.4%. My live sources:

May I ask where you are looking?

So in your vision of the world, governments get their information from media headlines (ok, maybe Trump does)? National health organisations have close contact with the WTO, they have access to all available information. By the way, information has been published nearly every day by the WHO

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_the_2019–20_coronavirus_pandemic_in_February_2020

And about your last comment:

"This resulted in many saying "See not a problem" even here at TV."

????

You and other TVF Trumpers have been making a barrage of posts for weeks to downplay the pandemic, arguing that Dems, the so-called experts and MMS were aiming at creating panic, now claim that the information about the severity of the spread was not available.

So if Trumpers made a barrage of posts to criticize the Dems, the experts and the MSM for allegedly overstating the crisis, it's because the information was widely displayed, right?

NB Thanks for the tip

My sources are live, updating multiple times a day for researchers.  The CDC is general public information and my experience is they are less timely.

Just now the CDC number for April 8 was

  • Total cases: 395,011
  • Total deaths: 12,754

So they are about a day behind. Currently the US has about 35000 cases/day. Today is April 9 so the world meters are just more up to date.

Current world meters (quoted in my post) 435,128 and 435,160

You are diverting the focal issue that Trump was wrong to call out WHO for falsely rated corona virus death at 3.4% and asserted his own rated death at less than 1% from his hunch. Good try though. By the way, the death rate is understated. Many die at home and not been tested for corona virus.

As I said, Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso is a rather odd nationalistic Japanese who once said that Japan is the only country in the world with a single race, language and 2,000 monarchy, sparking criticism that he was ignoring indigenous group and Japan racial diversity. He was also criticized for comments interpreted as defending AH’s motives for the killing of Jews. Remind me of someone.

Sticking to the OP: Trump isn't wrong in his assessment of the WHO. Disclaimer: I am not American or a Trump supporter. Just calling things as I see them. The WHO has done a grave disservice to citizens around the world by withholding information/parroting CCP propaganda. And before the mob attacks me, I implore everyone to research "Dr. Tederos" the Marxist-Leninist strongman of Ethiopia, now head of the WHO and his ties to the CCP. Stay home and stay safe everyone. The truth will prevail, as always. The question is at what human cost?

On 5 March on his pal Hannity show, Trump called the WHO death rate of 3.4% a false number and fake news. He followed with his hunch that it should be under 1%. Now the US death rate is at 5.7% and exposed his ignorance of science and the danger of false messaging.

And, if we really care about facts and not the narrative :

Dr. Birx admitted that all deaths were being counted as covid regardless of whether or not they died from the virus or an underlying health issue.

Add to that, the number of people who have the virus but don't know it.

If you were objective, you would have to see that the percentage is lower, but it does not fit your narrative of orange man bad.

Sally Aiken, President of the National Association of Medical Examiners clarified “if Covid 19 played a role in the death, this condition is specified on the death certificate”. CDC advised that official should report deaths in which the patient tested positive for Covid 19. Micheal Baden, a former chief medical examiner of NYC told Fox News that it’s treasonable you include people with the virus, who also has other health issues, in the count.

Everything, from the start, as outlined here and throughout world media. And they continue to disappear those doctors and medical personnel who know about nCoV-2019's true origins. All covered up.

I no do know about death certificates in USA, but in UK and Australia, the primary cause is listed, (repiratory failure, CA lung) or some such) then all comorbidites

Let's get past this stuff. The bottom line is the trump administration were warned by their own intelligence people of the threat posed by Covid in late Dec/early Jan. The administration failed to take appropriate action for weeks. trump is only using his usual M.O, denial / deflection of responsibility.

Trump ‘didn’t know people died from the flu.’ It killed his grandfather.

During Saturday's White House briefing, President Trump denied a report from the Washington Post that said U.S. intelligence reports in January and February warned of a coming pandemic by the COVID-19 coronavirus, saying, "We didn't know about it" until it "started coming out publicly."

Yes, fascinating and confusing, I find it exactly the same.

My main confusion is why the Democrats keep allowing him to use the same kungfu move, whipping them into a fury that keeps undermining them in the eyes of the public.

I don't think any of it is a mistake, and I'm certain the guy is not a moron. Scott Adams has written some interesting essays on the Trump phenomenon. Genius, or some sort of savant, I don't know, but it works like a charm.

"Works like a charm" is an English language idiom. In this case it refers to an apparently complicated and non-intuitive technique working successfully, getting an extremely unlikely candidate elected to the top job in the world.

It does not refer to the person using the technique. It does not mean that the person deploying the technique is charming. In fact, quite the opposite, it was his entertaining abrasiveness that swung it.

Ok ! I'm curious since the POTUS has said the WHO is a China centric and knowing how the Chinese and WHO consulted each other, who in your opinion should be held responsible? The panel, the director, both or the Chinese Gov or all!
