Surat Thani province on Friday (April 10) extended the lockdown of certain venues to April 30 in line with efforts to stem the spread of Covid-19. Initially, business was set to open as normal from April 15.

The affected businesses are bars, pubs, karaoke shops, entertainment venues, traditional massage parlours, spas, cinemas, cock-fighting and bull-fighting rings, internet cafes, boxing stadiums, playgrounds, parks and natural attractions.

The province will also keep department stores closed with the exception of supermarkets, pharmacies, mobile-phone shops, banks, beauty salons and restaurants, which are only allowed to sell takeaways.

All 24-hour convenience stores will also have to observe the 10pm to 4am curfew until April 30.
