Southport Stabbing: Child Killed and Several Injured in Taylor Swift-Themed Workshop Attack
There are many issues that people disagree with that are carried out by a small percentage of people. That was my point. Why don't you link to all if them, regardless of who they are carried out by? Wrong is wrong. Simple. Is 11 "many"? -

Using an overseas Debit Card to minimise paying tax for those of us staying over 180 days
I agree that 2017 is safe as is anything prior 2024 This is semantics and the terms are irrelevant as far as the TRD is concerned. The TRD is interested in if the funds are assessable or are not assessable when remitted into Thailand. So wanting to term them savings is just unnecessary confusing the issue. Once the funds are remitted and you decide if they are assessable or not and paid tax or not as required you are free to call them anything you like. Again what you decide to call the funds does not have any effect on if they are or are not assessable, you can call them tears of a unicorn if you want and as far as the DTC is concerned they always remain capital gains until remitted to Thailand. However the tax rules on capital gains are virtually always covered by a DTA/DTC the U.K. DTC says they are taxable in Thailand This would mean that if you were only tax resident in Thailand you would be exempt from CGT in the U.K. but required to pay in Thailand. you need to read the DTA/DTC applicable to you as Sherrings says https://sherrings.com/capital-gains-personal-income-tax-thailand.html Correct but you are rather unlikely to totally escape CGT -

Thai Tax on UK pensions
I did not think the UK state pension deferral was going to work very well for me, should I be over in Thailand at claim time (67 now);- Annual increases After you claim your State Pension, the extra amount you get because you deferred will usually increase each year based on the Consumer Price Index. It will not increase for some people who live abroad. https://www.gov.uk/deferring-state-pension/what-you-get ............ Still just under 6 years to go until claim date, unless .Gov default on it again. 40 years NI but would still need another 6 years NI to get full new state pension. Current thinking is the state pension will be piled into and ISA or a purchased annuity buffer as it could become a bit undependable, if it's more of a political football. Whispers on youtube that the politicians are going to restrict it for those that have put the effort in to their retirement plans, via means testing or taper. Another problem that the politicians recognized, the demographic change, but sat like dummies and did not address. Could have had hybrid building with a sovereign invested pension fund in play that would creep up to the proportion of the demographic change by now. UK .Gov project planning being pretty hopeless these days. -

Tourists Safe After Going Missing In Tham Nam Thalu cave
This is due in part to the epidemic of "health and safetyitis" that has infected the west. Legislation and regulation are now the main factors influencing peoples behaviour. Common sense is pretty much a thing of the past, and acting upon it is not really encouraged anymore. Fine whilst people remain in their highly regulated countries and their lives are micro managed by the authorities Not so fine though, when these people travel to a more "natural" environment, were they are not permanently protected by rules and regulations. As they have no common sense to fall back on. Caving, ? underground? In Thailand? In the Rainy season? What could possibly go wrong? Did none of the tourists think like that ? Probably not they just trusted the guide, because that's what one does "back home" It makes me think of a family's pet rabbit being let loose in the jungle -

The best dummy ticket for proof of return
This appears to be a legitimate loophole, that registered travel agents can make genuine bookings that may be held pending for up to 48 hours. If not paid, then they automatically cancel. Thus you must make the booking within a 48-hour window covering your flight. Put it on your calendar, bookmark the website, do a practice run beforehand...........then book the ticket the night before, giving you ~36 hours to complete your trip, allowing for a one-day delay due to a cancelled connecting flight. Not complicated. Super easy! Barely an inconvenience! -

Southport Stabbing: Child Killed and Several Injured in Taylor Swift-Themed Workshop Attack
Of course they condemn it, they have no choice, it’s against UK law; but they don’t do anything to stop the practice; they condemned the Muslim grooming rape gangs that operated all over the country for 30 years, and probably still are; but again, did nothing to stop them even though people in their communities knew the perpetrators. -

Thailand's Constitutional Court to Decide on Move Forward Party's Dissolution on August 7
Thailand is a constitutional monarchy, not autocratic monarchy do you know the difference ???? Constitutional monarchy, also known as limited monarchy, parliamentary monarchy or democratic monarchy, is a form of monarchy in which the monarch exercises their authority in accordance with a constitution and is not alone in making decisions. Autocracy Monarchy is a system of government in which absolute power is held by the ruler in other words a Dictator and Thailand is not -

90 Day report
I would pay an agent to facilitate before you leave, as a one off. Can’t be more than a few hundred baht, maybe a bit more given the circumstances.
