Might be worth them trying them in combination...#MAGA

Well then the best chance for America is that the trump supporters try that, which would imply there would be less trump supporters to vote for him in November.

Donald Trump should be in jail for giving bad advice on how to treat

the Covid 19 virus, but he won't be. What a shame, as maybe he would lose his

phone.

Going out in the sun is good for health in a climate like the USA. I bet some of you people staying indoors already look like scenes from Papillon after being in seclusion. Remember the scene he sticks his head out and asks if he looks okay to get a haircut?

But I do hope that they don't store their life-savings the Papillon-way... ????

The author of that US government study has said the study is not conclusive and more work needs to be done.

Recently the World Health Organization said exposing yourself to the sun or to temperatures higher than 25 degrees Celsius (or 77 degrees Fahrenheit) does not prevent the coronavirus. The W.H.O said you can catch COVID-19, no matter how hot or humid the weather is, adding that countries with hot weather have reported cases of COVID-19. The W.H.O warned about not using ultraviolet light to disinfect your body, saying UV radiation can cause skin irritation.

Trumps comments about bleach come exactly from this US Study;

"Bryan said S & T scientists were also studying disinfectants like bleach and isopropyl alcohol.

“Bleach will kill the virus in five minutes, isopropyl alcohol will kill the virus in 30 seconds and that’s with no manipulation,” said Bryan."

Immediately following the quote above by Bryan, the article carries on:

"The president wondered if injecting disinfectant into someone’s body could kill the virus saying: “Is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning”

Health experts quickly took to social media to warn people not to drink bleach or isopropyl alcohol to kill COVID-19.

Just this week, the Washington Poison Center warned that they’ve seen a 23 percent jump in the number of people getting accidentally poisoned by household cleaners and disinfectant."

There is a weirdo Christian sect claiming bleach is a cure for Covid-19, who have also been selling the stuff via the internet and TV channels as a cure. Why USA law enforcement hasn't arrested them as a threat to society I do not know.  The sect claim they wrote to trump promoting their 'cure' and now claiming endorsement from trump!

Obviously, the person, was it Trump himself, who made that remark did no, or very little research.  Amongst other countries Australia, India, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Viet Nam, Laos, countries in Africa and South America have high temperatures and humidity and with the exception of Viet Nam all have experienced death and severe illness from this virus.  So where does the truth lie behind the remark?  Don't forget he also suggested that certain drugs should be used and none have yet lived up to ridiculous claims, but then as he admits, he is not a doctor but he has good common-sense.  His latest proposal being to investigate the use of UV light and inject disinfectants into the lungs of people with the virus.  Did he get his ideas from reading about the experiments carried out by German and Japanese doctors before and during WWII?

Is that the weird religious sect Pence is part of, he certainly acts like someone is controlling his mind.

Doesn't the US have mental homes for people like this, like the one nurse Ratchett worked in?

Not an opinion but it is interesting that the north of Australia was almost unscathed.  Damn hot in the top end.

It may well be down to isolation, the hospital in Fort William hasn't had any positive test

results yet, and is nothing like the top end of Oz. Although the weather has been stunning

for the last week or so.

And now, as usual, Trump claims he did not say it.

He was being sarcastic, in his words, I'm not sure he is using the word correctly.

And if he as indeed being sarcastic I'm not sure a press briefing on a virus which

has killed tens of thousands of Americans is the best place for it.

If it's in the name of religion it falls under the First Amendment.  You can do anything to yourself in the name of god.  Telling, or coercing, other people to do it because god told you to pass the message on is another thing.  The Faithful at Jonestown had guns pointed at them, any anyway they were not in The Land of the Free at that time.

Suggesting that people ingest poison, and then having fools actually do it, let's leave that to our resident legals scholars (we have loads of them in here these days).  I would think there would be a distinction between some guy shouting it out on a street corner and some guy on television in an expensive suit with a government title, but if this were put to the present Attorney General or the present US Supreme Court it's a sure bet what that decision will be.

Yes, this post is tinged with macabre sarcasm, but this is truly where the US is at these days.  DT has yet to figure out it is the people who would vote for him that are most likely to take his suicidal suggestions.  The truly Evil Thing his opposition could do is run a back-channel publicity effort encouraging DT fans to follow his suggestions to prove their faith in him.

Ref last line............I am positive that will not happen, but were the roles to be reversed I am equally positive it would happen.

Unfortunately there are more of people who ignore the need for diligence to treat the pandemic seriously have been infected and die. There is even a study that show that viewers that listen to Sean Hannity’s narrative that this is just a political hoax to bring down Trump and nothing to fear are the most infected and more deaths than Carlson who was a tad more serious about the virus. Fox News consistently play down the seriousness of the virus and take a large chunk of blame for the large number of infections and deaths. Fortunately they have change their stance but a little too late.
