BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand’s budget and full-service carriers are seeking soft-loans worth 25 billion baht (624.45 million pounds) from the government to support their businesses amid the coronavirus outbreak, an airline executive said on Friday.

ATLANTA (Reuters) - With the U.S. coronavirus death toll topping 50,000, Georgia, Oklahoma and a handful of other states took the first tentative steps at reopening for business on Friday, despite the disapproval of President Donald Trump and health experts.

PHUKET: Police say that a woman who rode through the checkpoint in front of the Tesco Lotus store on Srisoonthorn Rd in Cherng Talay earlier today (Apr 24), heading towards Bang Tao – currently the area with the highest concentration of newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 on the island – is suffering from a ‘mental illness’.

NWR gets green light for Suvarnabhumi runway construction

Auto production target for 2020 revised down in wake of Covid-19 crisis

Isuzu to resume manufacturing in May

Isuzu Motors (Thailand) will soon resume manufacturing operations at its two plants, Tri Petch Isuzu Sales Co Ltd, the official distributor of Isuzu vehicles in Thailand, announced on Friday (April 24). Isuzu will reopen its plant in Samut Prakan’s Phra Phradaeng district on May 5 and the plant in Chachoengsao’s Gateway Industrial Estate on May 18.

Nearly 5 million resubmit applications for cash handouts with fresh evidence
