I Now Back Up My Firefox 'bookmark Toolbar'

Featured Replies

since about firefox 2.00.2 .. anyway, one of the recent versions..

all of a sudden FF will re-install .. 2.00.3 did a reinstall yesterday & I lost all my 'tool bar bookmarks'

'toolbar bookmarks' .. between the tabs & the address bar .. I think called the 'bookmark toolbar'

I have gotten lazy w/ff & just drag urls from the address bar to the 'toolbar' .. so easy + the link is "right there .. & so easy to click"

in the tool bar properties you can rename the links to 2 or 3 letters .. I have 20 most common links in the bookmarks toolbar & the list is seemingly unlimited, after the bar is full you get the >> to indicate more in a drop down tab list.

3 times since christmas I've lost all of them .. fortunately I now have a .html file of my bookmarks

........... in the bookmarks >> organize bookmarks>>file>>export

FF automatically makes a html file of all of your bookmarks

.. that html file is now a link in my bookmarks toolbar!

firefox will not retain my tool bar settings

changes to the tool bar, add buttons: new tab, new window, resize window, ie tab, small icons..

all function until I close FF .. reopen & all is reset to the default.

my tool bar which has worked for years is now not changeable.

i did a system restore to a date pre crash, removed firefox & went back to 2.0. , uninstalled zone alarm ..

all to no avail.

firefox refuses to work as it did prior to a crash last week. ??

i hate computers!

:o
