Hi, anyone know anything about this?

My TGF contracted Hep B and now has a surface anti-gen after getting inferon treatment (nearly killed her)

What are the chances of her getting a visa to AU? She has a good job in TH and a condo paid for, so she has many reasons for coming back.

She would also like to later immigrate to AU, will this Hep B effect her application(s)?

Any comments gratefully accepted.

(By the way, she got this infection from a cut while working as a nurse)

She should be able to get a tourist visa - the form asks whether the applicant expects to need medical treatment for a number of medical conditions and Hep B is one of them. If she is OK now I guess you wouldn't EXPECT to be incurring any costs for medical treatment...I would just tick the NO box.

see page 6 at http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/48.pdf

Don't know about the situation for immigration tho'.

good luck
