Your point is well-taken. And I am not from, nor have I ever been to the UK. So I concede I am speaking on principles and not knowledge specific to the UK. Your concerns are solid.

 

I bet you five randomly-picked TVFers could come up with reasonable accommodations to achieve a good overall result for all. Why can't our political hacks? And I ask that more of US hacks than those in the UK? I suspect we're in a similar boat in that regard.

True to form with many of these video clips, they are carefully edited so that we don't see what happened beforehand. The man was not standing peacefully and was being led away for a reason. IF he was being led away for no reason, you can be absolutely sure that the earlier section of the video would be shown.

So you think that when a person is being arrested, they should just drop to the ground and the police should then forget about the arrest and just leave them there? It would certainly reduce the prison population.

Many of these protesters must have traveled to the park by bus.

So far 33 bus drivers have been killed by CV 19. Just doing a job so that crack pots like these can go to a demo and wave banners about.

 

And bus drivers are separated from the passengers by a perspex screen. When they realised the danger the drivers were in the seats near the driver and the front doors of the vehicle were taped off.

 

There is nothing to stop bus drivers from pretending to be ill and taking sick leave but they soldier on because they don't want to put their friends and colleagues at extra risk by having to do additional shifts.

And please remember that all the protesters were arrested for not observing clearly laid out social distancing rules, after repeated requests from the police. Social distancing rules that are a total pain but the rest of us are happy to observe for the greater good. Completely selfish people.
