Does anyone know if the SCB branch at CW is open as usual, Mon-Fri, from 8:30 a.m.?

 

If not, what's the work-around for the on-the-day transaction on the 800K account for extension of stay based on retirement?  Will they accept a transaction (and the bank letter) dated the day before?

They would accept a letter from the day before but will want your bank book to be updated on the day you apply,

Last week still closed. Some now head to the Big C at Chaeng Wattana Road (it is just to the west of the main entrance road to the Govt Complex at Ch. Wattana Rd), note this presently opens at 10.30. From there it is a 40-45 B taxi ride to the immigration building.

Did it close because of COVID 19? Because the SCB Branch that I use has been open the whole time I think it only closed one day during the entire pandemic. Things have actually been running fairly smooth and I was able to make some pretty big purchases over the last two months. 

When I went there on 20th April, my bank letter from the previous day was accepted and having a fixed account, I did not have to update the bank book.
