A former US Marine who last month was arrested in Bangkok after what was described as a ‘suspicious’ package was left outside the US embassy, was arrested again on Friday night after causing a disturbance at a condo in Pattaya.

Police were called after 35-year-old Lucas William McCamy caused damage to property and was behaving in an aggressive manner.

Police initially tried to talk and reason with Mr McCamy but to no avail. He was eventually restrained and taken into custody.

A video shared on Thai social media, showed Mr McCamy tell police: “I have guns, lots of guns”.

In April, Mr McCamy was arrested following a report he left a ‘suspicious package’ outside the US embassy in Pathumwan.

Bomb disposal experts were called but no dangerous device was found.

On that occasion, Mr McCamy wasn’t charged with any offence but was sent for psychiatric evaluation.

In March, he was arrested in Pattaya after causing a public disturbance and was reportedly found to be in possession of a taser.

Mr McCamy was known to have been working as an English teacher in Chonburi as recently as February of this year.

we see this type of thing happen often, the thai authorities must deport people who behave in this manner or similar fashions.this isnt the first time ive seen or heard of such things.ometimes they can bribe their way out of it but always they appear again and create more problems, also the new airport protocol, surely they can downlooad the crim records of offenders so they dont enter, this is standard pracice acroos eu,uk,aus/nz,usa etc

And if not wearing a mask, rightly so!

I wonder how many "English teachers" are scrambling to find out where he was teaching at so they can apply for his (presumably) now empty position.

Maybe he was just trying to get a free flight back the US.

Certainly needs some help. Perhaps freaking out that he isn't getting the help that he needs. Not a good situation, if he has mental problems.

What is it with Yanks & Guns ?   Get him outa here.......I don't want him on my flight, when there is one

Probably PTSD. I've seen this kind of stuff before. He needs to go back to the states and get some psychiatric help.

he obviously either has mental issues, a vendetta against his homeland or both. Maybe something to do with his career as a marine, where he probably was used by his government to do some pretty heinous things to innocent people.

PTSD. MAYBE?

Do you really think that there's lots of English teachers left here then? Somehow I think they're going to be struggling even more than before to find any Native english Speakers. Not that the Gov. care they'd rather have Phillipinos, cost less, and I really don't think that they care about the lack of quality English teaching for the masses, all their children go abroad to school...

Agreed. Not Thailand's problem. Deport him, let him get help in his own country.

Why does this not surprise me?

Why is he still walking around free in Thailand??

Teaching here will do that to you.

Sounds like a lovely guy! Send him home and let his own country take care of the problems he create. They created him.

Obviously???? He was sent to mental eval. He was apparently let free, so either a faulty test or a man with issues.

Could be his medication and alcohol do not mix well. He would appear to have certain mental health issues and he may not be fit to fly at present. Not many airlines will carry a mentally hyper person on board so he may need sedating before travel. Hope he gets the help he needs.

Yep, amazing what you can deduce.  Do you happen to know the names of the innocent people that he did these heinous things against? If not, their email addresses will suffice......

Why doesnt it surprise you. Are english teachers known for being ex marines who have a mental problem?

Please note he is ex english teacher.

Surely that would be the last place to get sent to for help, something like going back to see the surgeon who sewed your hand back on upside down ????

Should have had something done about it the first time!

Indeed. Many farangs left and none can currently enter. It's a buyer's market. Former colleague of mine just threatened to jump to another school, and scored himself a raise.

There were times when I was a teacher that I wished I had a taser .

There are no Ex US Marines, only former Marines.  He needs help!

Has it been determined whether he actually is an ex marine?

He could be one of the, reported, many ex special forces operatives

to be found in Thailand!!

the question that is not often asked, is why people end up mentally ill.. this is the ambulance at the bottom of the cliff stuff.... out of site out of mind, except the outcomes are not out of sight and out of mind...... in the huge majority of cases, people were not born this way...

Yes but did he actually have any guns?
