Wicked, be awesome if they can place it with an existing public holiday, that will be one less sick day I need to use to take the week off and 9 days lazing around on an Island sounds blissful after all this lockdown <deleted>.

None, cancel until next April.

They should have canceled yes or instead rescheduled them into an extra public holiday's during the later part of the year scattered on either a Monday or Friday over different months.

what dates in the remainder of the year do you feel they should schedule the postponed public holidays ?

October would be appropriate, schools would then have been back a few months and this time off would compensate for not having the half term holidays as normal. Also would see how the easing of openings has affected the virus numbers in anyway.

Assuming the MotoGP still goes ahead October would be my preferred month, still got tickets and accommodation booked but am holding off on applying for annual leave just yet.

Why should the Thai people get over it and move on ?

Not all enjoy having 4 to 5 weeks annual leave (10 days is typical for the average worker) per year and factor in Public Holiday's to travel home to spend time with family and friends.

sounds like you need to get over it as well. :coffee1:

No I get 5 weeks annual leave so am not really fussed either way but with temporary closures many no longer have any annual leave left (those that still have jobs) so for them to go visit their sons, daughter, mothers and fathers they will need to take time off work unpaid.... surely covid has penalised them enough already so why rub salt into the wounds ?

Surely Covid has also already had most people home with their families so stating that as a reason is a non starter.

It's a stupid idea.

inter-province travel was a no no.

Removing workers rights is a stupid idea ?.... am sure the Unions will have a field day with the breach of work contracts.
