You are amusing Tug and of course none of that will be supported by any facts from you.  Bankrupt many?  LOL.  That's what these rioters and looters are doing.  Yet in your leftwing koolaid addled mind it's Trumps fault.

Trump and managing the virus: lie, deny, incompetent, shut down, = 20.985 million unemployed. I guess there are a few bankrupticies in there. I guess you could also find some bankrupticies in any businesses owners or home owners in the 100,000 dead (RIP).

Colon Powell has zero credibility. Nobody pays any attention to this failed man.

If a tree falls in the forest...

Simpler times. I remember it through a haze of nostalgia. When Colin realized how he had been played by Cheney, Rumsfeld, Bushjr & crew, went to the UN about the necessity to remove Weapons of Mass Destruction. They made him lie to the world, he realized it distanced himself, then watched in horror as the whole US military intervention (for spuds), turned into a massive train wreck.

One would have thought then, he should have known about disaster and Republicans. That before the 08 Wall Street deregulation disaster, and of course the current dumpster fire that is the Trump presidency.

Whatever Colin Powell done wrong on Iraq, he got this right on Trump's disregard for the constitution and rule of law. His comment on the gutless GOP senators was spot on.

Lincoln did rather more than drift away from the constitution he rode a horse and cart through it when it suited him. It's just another stick to bash Trump with, pity all they have is dozy Biden to oppose him, can Americans really be stupid enough to elect him in Nov?

Meh.

Woodrow Wilson one-upped Lincoln ca. 1917/18; he was fond of saying that Lincoln didn't go far enough by suspending Habeas Corpus.

Throw in a dash of total censorship (George Creel/Committee on Public Information), The Sedition Act, a pandemic virus and Sauerkraut being renamed Liberty Cabbage (shades o' Freedom Fries). Voila, much darker times.

Only Trump and his supporters will bring a disproportionate comparison between a civil war time President  who embodied unity and the current peace time President who polarized a divided nation. This is not a bashing but the raw truth about Trump from Colin Powell. Hard for Trump's supporters but there again another high ranking military generals have condemn Trump and this will have a telling effort on his re-electability. The polls confirmed that trend that Biden will likely win and that is what clever Americans feel now.

So you're non political but supporting Trump on every thread here with every post you make.

Could be that he's supporting Trump because of the OTT attacks on him on this forum, and not because of politics.

Perhaps you could research Lincoln and his relationship with the Democrats, and the reasons for the civil war.

While I don't like infamous WMD liar Colin Powell, I like the imbecile who's president even less. Hopefully his election defeat will be decisive and painful.

Trump is the only recent president not to be invading other nations willy-nilly. The death tolls of some of these misadventures by "good" US presidents are in the millions and the chaos and power vacuums left causes many more.

Obvious it's good that he didn't invade others countries - yet. But is that alone enough to make him great or even acceptable? Put a dog in his position and the dog would also not start another war...

...and all this matters some how?

Anything to say about the OP or just having a rant?

Pity that a once respected General has decided to attack the POTUS. Nothing to stop him supporting Biden of course.

IMO Powell blew it when he told the UN a load of wrong information about WMD. He should have kept his silence, IMO.

He is still respected. He hasn't attacked the POTUS. All that he did was to express his right to comment on Trump's attempt to use the US military against  US civilians.

Yep, as others pointed out Colin Powell lost all standing when he couldn't muster the balls to stand up to the neocons. He should be at Arlington every Sunday on his hands and knees begging for forgiveness from the soldiers who died fighting a lied-up war.

Powell relied on  the information given to him by the CIA and military  intelligence services. He wasn't the  one out in the field and he wasn't the one doing the analysis. He had to rely on the professionals who were tasked with the job.  The management of the Afghanistan  fiasco lies with the US military leadership. They managed the war and they decided upon the strategy. The same for Iraq.

drifted.

now there is a laugh.

Know any Trump supporters that killed thousands?

Donald J. Trump (the original Trump supporter). 112,000+ Covid deaths and counting.

Oh wait, Donald stated that "I don't take responsibility at all". Never mind. I guess the buck stops somewhere else in the current WH administration.

Where do you guys get these strange ideas from? If Trump loses he has no authority to give orders as POTUS once the legitimate POTUS is sworn in. The only way he could remain as president would be if the military carried out a coup, and how likely is that? No man ever in the history of humanity has become a dictator without support of influential people and the military/ secret police.

He would not accept to lose next election. He would call it a fake election and call the High Court in order to stay in power by help of his cronies in court (see Hillary, see Bush)

Theere is no middle road here is there ?

If Trump is voted out at the next elections how long has he to wreck more havoc before

leaving the White House?

And this needs to be re-iterated, voting for the lesser of two evils (the current broken two party duopoly in America) is still voting for evil. The now completely immoral, defunct, evil political system in America is an abomination.

Most people with any intelligence can see the point your're making. It's not just the US but many other Western developed nations in which the electorate seem to be faced with choosing the least worst rather than the best.

Of course some posters here can't. The ones who see only bad on the right and only good on the left.

A racist troll post has been reported and removed as well as a reply.

A post using a derogatory trolling reference to POTUS has been removed.

Going to see lots of tweeting tantrums from Trump in the coming days, should be fun but do check the facts in case anything he says may be incorrect.

First of all Collin Powell switched parties many years ago, he is no longer a republican. Get your facts straight and then post something worthy of reading. As for Joe Biden he is a mindless AH!

I think (plz correct me) it's not Mattis alone or just Powell, its' at about 5 or 6 most senior military men in the USA current and retired that have decried Trumps use of troops and coddled together unbadged militia, and his threats to activate the military across the US, and the pepper gassing batoning shield smashing and trampling of protesters, and on the Constitution in his Gestapo actions at St Johns church area this last week.

Washington and Kennedy used the military.

It's just another stick to beat Trump with, and like all the rest will amount to nothing but twigs.

Powell must have known exactly what the reaction to his statement would be.

IMO it's just anti Trump forces whipping up hysteria based on BS. I'm guessing, but I doubt R Reich has ever supported Trump.

The military swears to the constitution, not an ex president, which Trump becomes the instant the new POTUS takes over.

However, expect a lot more of the BS "Trump will refuse to leave the W H if he loses" media pieces as the election comes nearer. They've tried everything else to get rid of him and failed. IMO they may now be trying to whip up support for a coup against him when he wins.

Look I will try to clear this up for you. We are not at all worried about the results. We are scared <deleted>L#SS he will find a way to cheat. We know him, we don't trust anything he may try to fix a win.
