I have a work permit application going in tomorrow (Chonburi) that I understand will take 7-10 days to complete if there are no problems with the application (not expecting any).

I'm on a Non 0 ext based on being the father of a Thai child. I am the sole director and main shareholder (49%) on the company that I have set up to run the business. The company is not registered for tax or VAT yet.

I am living with the mother of the kids and she will be working in the shop, which is now ready to go and customers are asking to be able to come and buy the products.

I plan to open the shop tomorrow and my girlfriend to be there as the shop attendant, I will drop her there in the morning and collect her in the evening, but I am not planning on being in the shop when it's open until the work permit is in my hand.

Is there anything else I should know about regarding being the director and shareholder of the company that could get me into trouble with the shop opening before I have the work permit (even without me being there), or am I over-thinking it?

Thanks in advance.

All my papers were in order, yet I was refused a work permit. Problem? ..... using the wrong type of application paper..... bung a suitable amount of the folding stuff under the table via an intermediary.... mission accomplished.
