The Queen is the head of the UK. Who voted for her? Who voted for all he members of the house of Lords? Who voted for Dominic Cummings to run Downing Street?

  • in other words you can leave but we own you and your fishing waters   never heard anything so ridiculous

So the other member states are not capitulating to the UK's demands? How unreasonable of them. Still no-one could have seen this coming could they? Oh wait. About 48% of us did.

It’s not an insult when you feel insulted because of your education. If I touched a nerve there—no one forced you to parade your lack of knowledge in front of everyone.

A triple! Keep it up, Einstein.

And in he same breath no-one asked you to parade your air of superiority, which you could give a masterclasses on. Why do you feel the need to be arrogant all the time, can't you reply to a topic without an insult, is that what an education does to people?

I’ve answered that already. If you don’t want people to correct you, no one forces you to throw around words that you don’t understand.

An insult is not an answer, it is something the liberal left use when they are stuck for a reply.

Yeah, the EU.

The guy who doesn’t know what a dictatorship is wants to teach us about “the liberal left”. Let me get my popcorn. But don’t feel insulted again when this ends in another embarrassment.

You are embarrassing yourself, if you cannot debate without throwing insults about like confetti at a wedding, is there something wrong with you, if you feel I am wrong, please explain the reason for saying that, it is much better than calling someone uneducated, somebody with your education should realise this I would have thought.

However as you are boring me to tears what I am prepared to do is be reasonable and meet you half way and say that the EU is very democratic, but only behind closed doors, happy now.

Well, no mystery, if we look back in history we find that many people all over the world, have fought for their independence and/or freedom with their lives. Strangely enough it is something that people value hugely, as Britain did when it was fighting Germany, and as well over 50% of Scots now feel fighting for freedom from Westminster rule, and the tyranny of the lying toffs that for some weird reason the English keep electing.

Indeed many ex colonial countries are light years away from utopias, as the UK is also. Emigration to the UK (And in fact to Europe as a whole) is far from simple and has many different causes, one of the most significant ones currently is climate change in the Sahel, that makes it impossible for people there to live off the land any longer.

Maybe we should ask ourselves why Brits Emigrate to Thailand, instead of staying home to enjoy the ecstatic pleasures of Surbiton, Slough, and Chelmsford.

And why do the EU want a level playing field? The EU has high standards of employment law, environmental protection, and food quality for a start. Ironically the UK were at the forefront of setting the standards up. The current government in the UK has no standards at all, and would happily turn UK plc into a low cost, low wage, tax avoiding, pigswill eating, rubbish dump, if it lined the pockets of the self-serving Tory party. Would you not demand a level playing field with a competitor who was happy to exploit their own workers, in order to drive you out of business.

Democracy is not an illusion though, the British Government were quite in order to give its citizens the choice, I wouldn't have thought that most other countries in the EU will be offered that choice, does it not bother you that you are not trusted to vote in case you vote the wrong way, isn't that how dictatorships operate?

The UK was given a choice because Cameron did not want to hemorrhage votes to UKIP.

His own party was in disarray over the issue.

After all that massaging of racism and English exceptionalism what did we end up with?

No deal Brexit and racist thugs rioting on the streets.

Of course..........like all the other countries (Over 100 I believe) in the world that have gained their independence from the now pathetically depleted "Empire".

Oops sorry, not a single one has ever begged to come back, I wonder why?

No country has left or formally asked to leave the United Kingdom. Comparing leaving the UK to gaining independence from the Empire is just daft.

I’m afraid the rest of his post just underlined that he doesn’t know what a dictatorship is, so if anything I was doing him a favor by not further exposing his lack of knowledge.

So all members of the eu are going to give the citizens a vote on leaving?

If citizens from any member state can convince their own goverment to leave E.U. they can follow the same route as U.K. did ......

As any country is intitled to their own stupidity as that other now third country did ???? , you could rephrase and understand it as such  ????

Thanks for that report from our correspondent in George Square, Glasgow this week.

Justice Secretary Humza Yousaf has condemned “thugs” involved in violent clashes with police in Glasgow on Sunday.

A confrontation broke out between hundreds of demonstrators – who were taking part in a protest organised by the Loyalist Defence League to purportedly protect the statue of Sir Robert Peel – and a group of unidentified counter-protesters, forcing the police to intervene.

Humza can condemn Loyalists that he calls 'thugs', but the other 'counter-protesters' (so the ones causing the trouble) were somehow unidentified. Hmm... were any of these imported from England do you think?

And the English leave voters will always be grateful to the Scottish and Northern Irish leave voters as their combined votes made the difference between winning and losing

You can call the Scotish  and Northern Irish leavers a minority if you want but it was their votes together with English and Welsh leave votes that produced a majority of leave votes against the combined remain votes.

If the Scotish and Northern Irish leave votes hadn't voted then the UK would be remaining in the EU

As I have said before.

Every country has its fair share of idiots.

And are paying the price of throwing in their lot with the eu,they,'re having bad problems with being enforced to take on migrants.

Still never asked to rejoin the UK though have they?

Yes that seems to be the preferred option rather than rejoining the UK.

What does that tell you?

They realised they dropped one taking the eu s 30pieces of silver and are now scared of asking to reunion the United kingdom  and getting knocked back, politicians will never admit they,'re wrong no matter what the cost to the country they purport to serve.
