The Finance, Agriculture and Cooperatives, and Energy ministries have won top mention from people for Covid-19 relief measures that relieved their suffering during the crisis, a Super Poll opinion survey said.

Noppadon Kannika, director of Super Poll Research Centre, said on Saturday (June 20) that the poll surveyed 1,766 people nationwide on June 18-19.

“We collected the data using various methods, including telephone interviews, site visits, and social data collection,” he said.

"Around 95 per cent of respondents said they suffered from the Covid-19 impact, while 4.9 per cent said they were not affected."

Asked what measures relieved their suffering, 64.8 of respondents cited the Finance, and Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministries' cash handouts, 56.3 per cent cited the Energy Ministry's move to cut the price of fuel, electricity, and gas and deliver alcohol-based handwash gels to health promotion hospitals, 43.2 per cent mentioned the Interior Ministry's electricity and tap water price cuts, 12.3 per cent picked the Industry Ministry's face mask handouts, and 2.7 per cent cited Digital Economy and Society Ministry's free phone calls.

Asked about Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha's televised address on Wednesday (June 17), 72.6 per cent of respondents said they had heard him while 27.4 per cent said they had not followed the programme.

Asked about their faith in the prime minister to deliver on his promises in the televised address, 66.3 per cent said their faith had not increased, 9.6 per cent said they were slightly more hopeful, 14.9 per cent said their faith had increased moderately, and 9.2 per cent said they had utmost faith.

Asked about the best coalition government party, 28.4 per cent of respondents said the best coalition government party currently rules, while 71.6 per cent said the best coalition government party does not exist.

Noppadon added that it was a good thing that the government had taken steps to relieve people's suffering because their measures were not only a political discourse.

"If people have good memories of the government, that will help the government drive the country forward," he added.

Not many Thais have good memories of this government at all, and the majority would vote to change it, if given the opportunity. Unfortunately, the way this regime is going, it out of the people's hands.

They should have asked more critical questions instead like:
"Were Government efforts enough to help relieve suffering during the COVID10 Pandemic?"
Pretty sure that would have been a resounding NO.
Oh the luxury of SOE when we can control the Media and Polls in the interest of national security of course.

So basically the pole supports and points to the failure and majority dislike of the the military who unscrupulously took the election and who so far has eliminated everyone in their way. The surprise to me is that they actually publicized this poll.

Give it a day then the numbers will be reversed as the person who put together the PR post from the poll misinterpreted the numbers as they were dyslexic..

So the Thais remember the help they were given (they've had their livelihoods ripped away by this same government during this farce, but that's another discussion), within the last 3 months. So Thais have the ability to recall events from up to 90 days ago. Impressive. Marginally better than goldfish.

9.2% said they had the utmost faith in the Prime Minister to deliver on his promises...the rest had more sense...????

Yet the usurpers stay firmly in power. In a democratic country such <deleted> poor performance would've resulted in a kick on the <deleted> long ago.

If only that was reflected at the polling stations...

Talk about the terminally blind.

The government issues dictates that crush the economy, and then the little people express their love and adoration for various governmental bodies within the government???

As Huxley so aptly predicted, the masses will accept a "method of making people love their servitude...producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies, so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it."

My goodness - we're here!

Finally, the penny has dropped. Never thought that I would see the Thai people learning from their experiences, but it looks like they finally are. ????

That's this week.
