considering a visit to aran to get some cheap Korean cigarettes, but I have read the market has taken a hammering due to border closing and police raids.

yes, poi pet has tonnes of legit smokes very cheap. the fakes come from tachilek, shan state and yunan.

Are you sure they aren't Cambodian cigarettes? The market is located at the Cambodian border after all. Korea is several thousand km away.
