Why Donald Trump Could be a Major Challenge for the British Government
The topic is about what the Trump presidency might mean for the UK. This naturally leads to a discussion about how the UK might mitigate any potential negative effects. One suggestion is to forge closer ties with our European neighbours, so discussion about EU/UK relations is very much 'on topic'. -

Missing In Action (MIA)
It has come to my attention that many of our most vocal and biased posters on the forum’s political threads have gone Missing In Action or MIA. One could even say AWOL, I just find it out of character that most had engaged in healthy and at times not so healthy banter would disappear after a U.S. Presidential election. Their choice of course as I believe in Freedom of Speech. I’ll list a few of those I’ve noticed MIA. Of course, they may of posted on political threads and I have not noticed or they may be on other threads. I just wanted to “reach across the aisle “. and welcome them back home when they see fit and continue the banter. Feel free to add or comment. 1. Danderman123 2. Tug 3. Candide 4. Chomper Higgot -

Now is not the time for reconciliation.
The left is insane. You cannot reason with them because they live in a world of lies. How can normal people approach any sort of reconciliation with a group who wants to pretend they are fascists, racists, etc.? Best thing to do is to ignore the left-wing nutjobs and get on with making the country, possibly the world, a better place. People like @Jingthing don't want things to get better under Trump. They will be distraught if Trump improves things, and will be actively working to stop Trump making the US a better place. How can you cooperate with people like that? -

Unlicensed Clinic Owner Arrested in Banglamung, Chonburi Crackdown
In a decisive operation in Banglamung district, Chonburi police and public health officials have arrested a man accused of operating an unlicensed medical clinic. The individual, known as Mr. Krit, 47, is alleged to have been providing medical services to locals without the necessary permits. Authorities, suspecting the clinic of illegal activities, used an undercover operative with a trail-marked 1,000-baht note to conduct a drug test at the facility. Once the transaction was confirmed, officials swooped in, apprehending Mr. Krit and discovering the marked currency in the cash drawer. Further inspections uncovered that he had been issuing medical certificates without proper authorisation. The clinic, lacking required permits, appeared to function as a makeshift laboratory, evidenced by numerous used medical kits found discarded. Mr. Krit, reportedly a government-employed medical technician, admitted to running the clinic for around a year. He claimed to have prepped necessary filing papers for a permit but allegedly never submitted them due to work pressures. Despite holding a professional medical license, Mr. Krit was not permitted to operate such a clinic. He now faces charges of running a medical facility without authorisation and providing unauthorised medical services. The case has been transferred to Banglamung Police Station for further processing, reported The Pattaya News. Photo: The Pattaya News -- 2024-11-08
