Thank you for all the input!

Talking to the neighbours is a non-starter, they are not resident, right now, only the workers putting up the ugliest window and door grilles I have ever seen, installing these cameras, and building two-storey granny flat come garage in the front garden - thankfully we can't see it from our side.

I object on principle to having to spoil our limited views of the world by fitting film, net curtains, etc., etc., especially as we like to have the windows wide open for airflow. If they really want to see my ancient body, good luck to them, but my occasional guests are a different  matter.

So, I will be buying one of those IR floodlights, and mounting it directly opposite the offending camera. I have considered whether cooking the camera with a laser would work, but where would I source such a thing? Laser pointers and the like would not, I think, be powerful enough, and industrial stuff too dangerous and expensive. Then there's the legal consequences of damaging other peoples property.
