There are many on this forum that enjoy long and happy marriages, seldom do we see input from those guys on threads of this topic.

I would suggest because their route to happy marriages did not follow the advice dispatched by the renters and single guys on the forum, not to mention those who consistently change 'partners'.

To genuinely love somebody there will be times in a relationship when their needs must be put above your own, there in lies the test of true love.

Op says he deserves to be happy, surely at some stage in the relationship his wife was making him happy, now is the time to consider if he can do the same for his wife. It's a big ask in his situation, is the will to take the challenge there?

Unlikely that Lek is sitting at home. More likely to be partying with her mates from the bar.

I've met loads of TV posters wives.

Most of them posted on here how happy they were.

The reality was always different.

It's funny how posters here also married wealthy women who earned more than them, educated, never worked bar.

That reality was always different too.

I remember a ThaiVISA party in Loi Kro one Xmas ........ only about 2 out of 100 dared to bring their wife.

 

It's funny how so many posters lie on these forums, I essentially don't believe anyone who claims a wonderful relationship with a Thai lady, they all turn to poop sooner rather than later as far as I can see.

Had it for best part of a year. Going through the menapause, but she would not accept it at her age. She has never had children. Managed to get her some estrogen type capsules and normality resumed (relative of course) 5555????????????????

You forgot to add that they married DDG Chinese Thai ladies with degrees and exceptionally well paying jobs. Of course they had no problem paying the million + baht sin sod, as she was a virgin and never previously married. Plus their father in law gave them a load of land and built a mansion on it, all for free, and employed the new son in law as an executive in the family firm, just 'cause the guy is so exceptional.

I don't believe they exist.

The number of older (over 40), happily married men in our 'white world' = almost none.

Although those who are no longer interested in sex are probably happier than those who still want it.

I had lots of sex without being married, my reason for getting married was because I met a person who was beautiful, charming, considerate, hard working and I really wanted to commit to spending my life enjoying her humour, great outlook on life, in country where we will live well enough to be comfortable and happy. In 14 years my wife got annoyed once, and me twice.

Life is short. I would ditch the b.... and find another one. There are millions to chose from.

Keep relation with your children and don't marry the new one or have kids again. Easier to resume search if she become  a copy of the old one

 

Knowing you are happyt with a younger new lady is the best medicine for a bad wife.

My ex in the UK became permanently miserable when she had the nice house, the sports car, the child. By then she forgot how to be happy and was permanently miserable. 
She was totally materialistic.

I've never had problems like the OP writes about. I have male friends who are in destructive relationships and they always blame the woman. I don't buy it, in my experience problems always come from both parties. 

You need to reflect on your own role in the charade of your relationship.

My wife is now in her 50's. We've moved between several worlds, Singapore, Thailand and the US.

 

Been together close to 20 years now. We're still happy, with the usual ups and downs, but we're good.

 

Now the kids are gone we're in a new phase, and Yes we still have sex and both pretty happy with how it's all turned out.

 

We never really led the party life that many farangs crave when they go to Thailand, just regular folks.

 

We're also are not that far apart in age, so unlike some of the 60 somethings with the 20 something partners, we actually have life experiences in common
