What is the official website for the Thai Elite visa?

A quick google search brings up 10-15 different companies all with a play on the Thai - elite - visa name.

How do you find an OFFICIAL vendor ?

Thats encouraging.

May i ask the year in which you obtained PE visa?

For me I got the first one back in 2014 and than another in 2019 so I'm on my second 5 year membership now.

The first time in 2014 it took less than 2 weeks if I remember correctly and when I renewed it in late 2019, it was something like 2 days, renewing seemed to be a mere formality.

Do you (or anyone else) know how one gets the Elite Visa in one's passport if one is not currently in Thailand?

Yes, they insert the visa at the airport. You let them know in advance when you're coming and on which flight and they meet you at the gate as you step off the plane.

You're then driven on one of those little electric carts to the fast track area where they do whatever paperwork is required and make copies of your passport while you sit and wait.

Once the visa is inserted you're escorted to the immigration desk and stamped in, they then return to the office and make additional copies of the entry stamp while you continue to wait in the sitting area, once they've done this you can proceed to the arrivals hall to collect your luggage.

Took about 20-30 minutes max.

I believe this visa is only inserted into the passport inside Thailand either at one or two international airports on arrival or at Chaeng Wattana immigration if you're already in the country.

If you're flying one way the airline sometimes asks for proof of onward travel, there's a letter TE send you that confirms the visa you're going to receive on arrival which exempts you from the onward flight requirement as you will have a visa but just don't have it yet....I used this when I flew back into Thailand in November 2019 - and they did want to see it.

By going to the Thai Embassy in the country of your choice and telling the company prior to your visit to that particular Embassy,

Actually it is the same for renewal

But, really, for the first stamp, no need as staff will be waiting for you at the airport (not sure about Phuket, and that cannot be done at Don Muang) Suvanabhum for sure and will guide you through the process: definitely faster than at Chaeng Wathana ( immigration in Thailand) and certainly hassle free

This is quicker as, sometimes the Embassies have never dealt with that particular matter and it could take a couple of days. Mind you you will not be in a rush I guess once/if you apply and it is approved

The TE staff will meet you at the the Suvarnabhumi gate and take you to a small immigration booth where the PE visa is put to your passport, then they guide you through the immigration itself.

It's quite a nice experience, having the gold clad ladies whisk you through. Included in the membership, every time you leave or arrive in Thailand through Swampy.

Confused again.

So is this visa primarily for those who are already in Thailand?

As someone living abroad, how do you navigate getting this visa if needed? Someone mentioned you tell the Thai Embassy in your home country - what do you mean by this?

You don't go through the embassy at all, it has nothing to do with them.

thailandelite.com is the company, email them and tell them you want to apply or click the 'Apply now' link on their website and fill out the information.

They will send you some application forms to complete

You are confused because you read the reply I made (post 155) to a different question.

Your question is where can you apply: the answer is on the official website of Thailand Elite (provided in an earlier post or by a quick search on Internet).

From there just follow their instructions

You can also go through an agent, if you know any, but the staff at Thailand Elite is very capable. There is no difference in price for the buyer.

The question of the other poster was: where does one get their visa affixed when abroad (once they have paid for it?

Answer: 2 ways

1) Inform Thailand Elite Company in which country you want your visa to be issued. They will in turn address the request to the Thai embassy of that country. Just get there and have it done

2) Have the visa issued upon arrival at the airport, only Suwanabhum and maybe Phuket, where the new member will be greeted and guided through the process by the Thailand Elite staff.

I hope that it is now clear
