The failure to apprehend and prosecute the Red bull heir is a reflection of a complete failure of governance from the top down.

A lot of modern cars have the computer power and memory to keep quite a bit of information....but you don't think that information in that particular Ferrari was still there when the cops had a look.  Or maybe it was,  and downloaded to a stick and the computer was then fried.   ????

Typically impact speeds wont be recorded to the ECU unless the airbags were deployed so doubt there is/was any information at all to be gathered... A process that cannot be done on the side of the road without specialized equipment that only the dealership will have.

No, a good traffic investigative team should have a laptop which will allow the download of the info. Data is recorded not only when there is airbag deployment, but definitely when there is such as in THIS case.

There is a document online from a physics expert at Chula University stating he was doing over 170 km/h. I imagine his margin of error would be about 10 km/h either side. Not 110 km/h.

You could start by reading previous posts where I stated no impact speed would be recorded due to (my wrongly assumed) claims the airbags were not deployed.
