Not to do so would be immoral.

I'm sure there is no equivalent for that word in the Thai language!

The two new witnesses said the cop veered right in front of his car. Curious why the motorbike is stuck vertically into the bumpers of the Ferrari! Surely some mistake by someone.

I thought it was clear, the police are dropping the charges because the litigation office dropped them and it would be negligence to continue charging him.

Will it be the same policemen investigating this who also dropped the charge initially?

Apparently 2 new witnesses were located who both said that the policeman swerved infront of the ferrari. Amazing after all this time 2 new witnesses suddenly appear.

The've just found the right persons and  Asked (bought ) them what Really Did Happen.  ????

Indeed. Those 2 new witnesses also confirmed that they, and the Ferrari were observing the speed limit!

Were have these witnesses been since 2012 and why didn't they come forward before?

The prosecutors can say, that based on the new evidence, boss wasn't speeding, and the deceased swerved in front of him, giving him no chance to avoid the deceased. So based on that, there is little chance of a conviction. The other charges have expired. So, as they say in the movies, he's free to go.

Will be interesting when the 'witnesses' become known. Cyber sleuths will go after them mercilessly to see if this even tallies.

Also interesting that the possible speed ranges from 177kmph to 77.16kmph both undertaken by allegedly specialists....

Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha's office said on Sunday that news of the dropped case made him "uncomfortable" and stressed that he had never granted personal favors.

Hard to believe given his top down management "style".

The only reason the charges were dropped MONEY

In a reverse situation, it is my opinion that two Burmese lads were "stitched up" so that another person linked to Koh Tao could remain free!!

He missed eight court summonses over the case before authorities issued an arrest warrant five years after the incident.

Yeah nothing to investigate and it’s not about money or status ! ????????

I wonder (rhetorically of course) what the Thai phrase for "independent inquiry" might be ????

This is just all so sadly predictable.  Why don't they look into why he wasn't brought back to face the charges while they are at it.  Or why he was allowed to leave the country in the first place.  Or, why the case has dragged out so long that most of the charges time expired.  Lots to probe but like all probes, nothing will come of it.

If he feels so uncomfortable then maybe he should clean up his back yard.

A panel has been set up with the sole purpose of calming the peasants.

The last thing they want is the peasants revolting.

The two witnesses are probably bogus. First, where were they all this time et why do they show up now? How come nobody else saw that the cop swerved suddenly in front of the car and what about the speed discrepancy : from 170 to 70km/h? They are really taking the Thai people for morons!  That panel is just for show. One can only hope the Thai people won't let go.

How is this possible. Missing 8 court appearances before an arrest warrant is even issued? Really? This is unbelievable. Money talks and bullsh!t walks.
