I just found a product that I have been looking for ever since I left the United States - a real GPS tracking/navigation system that WORKS!!!! This is very similiar to the DeLorme and Garmin units sold in the U.S. and the price is about the same.

Before I bought this, I couldn't get from one side of Bangkok to the other - now I have driven all over Thailand without getting lost (much!!)

I can't speak highly enough of this unit, it is called a Model BG-PGM, and is distributed by Bangkok Guide, the same guys that make the Thailand Road Atlas.

The unit costs about 4,400 Baht, and is almost the same price as the Delorme unit. Unfortunately, it does not have the route planning feature, like DeLorme, but, it is amazingly better than anything I expected to find in Thailand.

It is well worth checking this out if you do any traveling - I love mine. BTW: The owner's speak English and will set it up on your laptop for you!!

Do they only have maps of Thailand? Can you use other maps with the system? How good is the English?
