Drug Usage & Thais

my girlfreind was telling me,the other night,about her boss who she used to work for,who used to be addicted to yaabaa.she stayed there,at the home with them,& at times evidently he smashed up the place abit,& got a bit physical with his wife.i was very interested.

ive heard that quite alot of thais blame the production & source of yaabaa on burma,but in reality it is also made in thailand,not too far from the border.

do you think the thais are a big drug taking nation,(eg yaabaa,amphetamines,prescription,etc) compared to the west?

this is not meant as thai bashing,but i'm not sure the average thai would like to reveal to much on this subject.
