A class action lawsuit has been settled for users of Visa, Mastercard, and Diner's club cards over currency exchange fees.

I know you don't like links, mods, but please leave this one!

Thanks for info Cathy. The link doesnt seem to work, however, can get the info by going directly to "ccfsettlement.com" PPle have til Jan 2008 to file a claim. Wonder if the offending banks will volunteer this info to their affected clients? I use Citibank master card CC & debit card and doubt if Citi will notify me, in fact have e-mailed them several times on exactly how they compute, determine exchange rates, without ever a reply. I guess the lawsuit is the reason for their silence.

I'd be amazed if anyone ever gets a refund.

Yep, that's the place. My link isn't working due to having http:// in it twice. I wanted to fix it, but couldn't find a way. I stumbled across this info while researching Bank of America, which has just bought my US bank. I dealt with BofA way back when they were only in California, and they were evil back then. They have only gotten worse, judging by the number of class action suits against them in the past 5 years or so.

The refunds have already been ordered by the court. The amount you get will vary based on how much you were charged and how many people apply for the refunds. I know I'm applying.
