Depends on how many people you are prepared to see die horribly. Human life or money?

It's more a case of Human life or Human life. This will come out in the wash eventually when the sums are made.

How many are dying because of restrictions imposed that prevent them from accessing medical facilities? How many are dying because of being unable to buy food as they have lost their jobs? Etc, etc.

This list can go on and on.

Whatever decisions were taken,  there was, is and will be a price to be paid. And all schools of thought will be able to present facts to validate their position about actions and decisions taken.

What, maybe more importantly,  has taken an enormous blow is the credibility of international organizations like the WHO. While some leaders of developed countries will be marked men come next elections. What this will do to political stability and possibility of lives lost due to social unrest is also something to worry about. Currently the US is not looking good with deaths occurring as a result of various groupings taking to the streets to protest for a number of different reasons.
