I live outside of a small market town south of Khon Kaen.

There is a basic keep fit, walking, cycling park.    One round is 500 metres.
The park has a large rain fill pond, a smaller pond, and cement channels that have fish and frogs etc.
The central area is down to wild grasses that are cut regularly.
To one side of the park is a small area of untouched original land, the owner, an old man, prepared the land and planted rice, a few edible flowers etc.

The rice grew VERY rapidly to a height of over 150cm.    It was cut back to about 60cm 10 days ago and already back to over a metre.

No added fertilizer and chemical free.

Anyone any clues as to what kind of rice he is using ?
Sorry no picture will try to get and post.

You sure its rice? Not Thai rice anyway. You can grow all kind rice in mountain. Normaly in mountain has really good soil.
