Don Mueang Airport is expected to see 13.6 million passengers this year, falling short of the targeted 15 million, said the airport's general manager Sumpun Kutranon.

The airport catered to more than 41 million passengers per year before the Covid-19 pandemic.

Passenger numbers at the airport gradually recovered as the lockdown was eased, said Sumpun. The airport currently serves 220 flights and 45, 000 passengers daily.

That compares with 700 flights and 120,000 passengers before the outbreak.

The airport is ready to serve foreign passengers when the government implements the travel bubble policy, he added.

The Don Mueang Immigration Officers also confirmed their readiness to once again welcome foreign visitors to Thailand, having honed their skills during the downtime through daily punching of pensioners and pushing of trams into traffic.

Always avoid that airport when going to Thailand.  Immigration there makes one think: "why am I here again?"

Thailand shows its desperation for easy answers.  To boost the middle class, they would need more international investment.  Only dummies are interested in the EEC, and they cannot allow too much competition for the inbred elites.  Tourism is the box of crumbs or the humble Thai.

So now 45000/220 = 205 on each flight while previouisly 120000/700 = 170 on each. Hmmmm.?

Oops, you are not supposed to do the math~thinking is dangerous

The place to catch the main buses downtown has changed. I'm betting the 'old' directions to the old place to catch those buses hasn't been changed.

Obviously they have been strapping the extra passengers on the roof racks

Flew in Wednesday. Signage is good but a long walk. Easy walk as not many people standing around in your way. Very quiet.

Seats inside to sit on while waiting.
