Direct Push - Blueberry-like

Featured Replies

I recently purchased a smartphone with Windows Mobile 5.0 which supports "Direct Push". I presume this is something similar to Blueberry's? Is that supported by any of the providers in Thailand?

DTAC does direct push, I've heard them advertise it before. A quick search through Google confirms so. However, I don't know whether your email has to be associated to their domain name or not.

If I'm thinking of the same thing then the "Direct Push" thing isn't actually provider dependent. As long as you have a Microsoft Exchange Server online, you can do this as GPRS is paid per traffic. I run a Microsoft Exchange server and used to direct push to the O2 XDA Atom (WM5). Both Exchange 2003 (SP2 and later) and Exchange 2007 does it.

There's also of course the option of remotely hosted Exchange. You might need to install the Messenging and Security Feature pack on your device also. Earlier versions of the devices allowed direct push through SMS rather than data based direct push.
