13 year old girl crushed to death by out-of-control truck.

A tragic accident now from Soi Chayapreuk 2 in Jomtien. Police Sub-Lieutenant Choorasak from Banglamung Police Station was assigned to the case which caused the death of a 13 year old girl. At the scene, Police inspected the body of Deckying Gaetwadee, a student at Pattaya School number 7.

According to witnesses including the victim’s mother who was being consoled by friends at the scene, an 18 wheel truck was parked near a food vending stool owned by Khun Pairot aged 60. He explained that the young girl had come to purchase some food.

Shouts from those nearby alerted everyone to an 18 wheel truck which was out of control and heading in the direction of the food vending stall. Tragically many failed to take head of the warnings, including the 13 year old girl who was hit and then crushed by the approaching truck.

The driver of the truck, Khun Roongnapar aged 28, who was not with his vehicle at the time of the incident confirmed that he had parked up but failed to use the hand brake causing the accident. He is now under arrest as the family of the girl comes to terms with their unexpected and devastating loss.
