For a family beach holiday - it's fine, more Phuket than Pattaya but without the scams.

Are you serious? Between the lucky lucky men and the time share touts its far more hassle. The beaches are few and far between too.

He told the media that Pattaya must be "greened" as much as possible to make it look highly acceptable and be fit for purpose.

Why is it that I can suddenly hear Louis Armstrong singing?

So how many years have they been trying to do that and it's still a $H1t hole

He should get it all completed just in time for the monorail contractors to come along and destroy most of it during their building work. Toilets in the stations would be joined-up thinking.

Yes, but which song:

"Prince of Wails" (1924), or "I'm a Ding Dong Daddy from Dumas" (1930)

Will the greening he talks about include stopping pumping filth into the sea, or is it just the bits on view?

The " Greening " referred too probably means all the Weed Growth in the walkway joints and edges..

Getting warmer, but if you're wrong again you'll be asked to leave the room.

Well I'm not going for the best known one, as that would come under false representation.

FAIL 100%  how  about stopping the jetski scam with the police involvement, its  just the usual THAI BULL. What needs to change is the THAI  ATTITUDE.

You may stay...

So the Chinese will have the Thais' in concentration camps just like the Muslims in china

Underground toilets for men, women and the handicapped

I assume, then, that there will be lifts for the handicapped to access the underground toilets.

Do you think it will work - teaching them to concentrate for more than two minutes?

I guess some of you are chin up, hiso from Monaco?

I think the BR walkway is nice I walk it almost everyday.

Very wide and clean when I walk.

Plenty of trees and shade and benches to sit if cannot find them, sounds pretty lame.

Hmmmm underground toilets......The phrases “ flooding” and “knee trembler” spring to mind.

Projects like road constructions will never ever finish. Every year they start all over again. Same road. It is how they steal the yearly construction budget. 90% of yhat budget gets redistributed between the dirty guys. 10% goes into construction works that never end. They are not supposed to ever end coz it is a permanent income source.... Amazing Thailand

And to end...???

When the money runs out.

If if doesn't vanish before hand.

Underground toilets.

Suitable for disabled?

A good rain downpour and you will need scuba diving gear to go to the loo.

underground lavvys will encourage cottaging

Not keen on zebra crossings that disappear half way across the road.

We were there 2 years ago. Beach front Hotel next to Veronica's. Dark sand beach which was decent enough and never approached by anyone not even any of the drab tourists. Obviously other places may be worse for that sort of thing. We were booked for Gran Canaria last month but got covided off so did Portugal instead. The worst thing I find is the sea (north Atlantic) is far too cold after Thai holidays.

Can we please start by placing garbage bins on the beach side near the umbrellas so one doesn't have to risk life  and limb to dispose of a plastic bottle on the other side of the street. Thank you, sir.

Well considering they cant even make a straigh pathway without snapping your ankles, I would not hold out... never seen a single wheelchair user in 12 years of living all over Thailand, mainly Bangkok...

More of a teabagging guy myself!

Consider a overhead tram along Beach Road in Pattaya.  Pedestrians area only below the tram.   Convert the existing Beach Road into a long grassed park that is well lighted and open.  Folks can picnic and walk the Beach Road strip as well as take the overhead tram.  It could benefit the locals, (business and public alike), the tourists would love it.  With a little imagination the area could be a visually pleasing and desirable destination to enjoy your day.
