BANGKOK(NNT) - Researchers and scientists in Thailand are now working with domestic and international institutions on the development and sourcing of COVID-19 vaccines. The acting Chinese Ambassador to Thailand in a meeting with a Deputy Prime Minister today, confirmed China’s commitment to cooperating with Thailand in this important matter.

During his meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan, the Charge d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok Yang Xin, reaffirmed the two countries cooperation in research and development of an anti COVID-19 vaccine, as well as the sourcing of vaccine doses in the future.

The Chinese diplomat said China is willing to provide guidance and equipment support to facilitate testing, as well as helping with Thailand’s economic recovery post-COVID-19, as farm products from Thailand remain popular in Chinese markets.

In the first six months of this year, 95 projects by Chinese companies were submitted for investment promotion with the Board of Investment of Thailand, worth in total 17 billion baht.

The Chinese Charge d’Affaires stressed the good relations between Thailand and China, mentioning the kindness of Thai people at the beginning of COVID-19 outbreak, royally bestowed items from His Majesty the King to China, and a message of encouragement from the Prime Minister of Thailand.

On this occasion, DPM Gen Prawit discussed the government’s efforts to solve poverty, reduce inequalities, and create more jobs for the general public, while seeking advice on a systematic water management scheme, a topic on which China has promised to cooperate with Thailand as a key partner country.

I can't wait for the firework show to begin.

The West led by the US dragging Chinese and Russian biotech through the dirt and issuing dire warning of the dangers and lack of efficacy of their vaccines, maybe even threatening smaller countries like Thailand with sanctions if they buy or cooperate with manufacturing Chinese-made Covid vaccines; then China retaliating in true trade war fashion.  And Russia just circling the wagons, putting her head down, and keeps chugging along doing what she is doing while capitalizing on their "first to the market" market share.

Ahh, geopolitical intrigue.  More fun than a BLM/Antifa riot in Kenosha.

I will take whatever certified vaccine becomes available. Keep in mind that a significant share of Western drugs are manufactured in China, India, Malaysia, Thailand.....  They must know something.

the quicker countries get a vaccine the better, vaccine is now a political hot potatoe.its nationalistic and we have seen the reaction when a non western nation beats the experts and know it alls to the punch.russia ia an example, china has several jabs and theyll be on the mkt available next mnth, this will allow some countries to open up faster ie laos cambodia thai and philippinnes in this area.thats a good thing but....the chinese do nothing for free,it will come at a cost.it may be harder for them to get something as theyre responsible for the virus but beware, the other problem is the big pharma guys, theyre all there US france UK etc and i can see that when we have our vaccine passport they may well only allow their one on it,ie all the western nations wont allow the china and russain ones.its rather pathetic as our govts grapple with extending this so called crisis for as long as they possibly can.statistically in australia for instance you have a way bigger chance of dying in a car crash than covid and with covid the deaths are amongst ill people over 75 ditto here.someone needs to put stark facts in the front row

bunch of really racist people have commented who discriminate against Chinese. First of all, the virus could have been started in USA but the international research team cannot get cooperation from USA. Second, the Chinese stopped the virus cold. They helped Thailand to stop it. They offered Trump help. He said, we do not need your help. Mostly 200,000 dead are older people. we can handle the problem.

Finally, which vaccine would you take…from… 1.  USA, 2. China, 3. Thailand, or 4. Russia.

Remember, USA is for-profit health care. They will shoot whatever in your veins to make money.

You may also note China is #5 in world IQ while USA is #31. I do not know the others but assume Russia is higher than USA.

China is opening cooperating with other countries. USA cooperating only with only UK…I think.
