Now Xinhua has said that the closure of the airspace and the borders have left Pattaya deserted and the Thai people with no money.

The love of a Chinaman is fickle. Turned sour as soon as the money stopped flowing back through illegal Chinese tour companies.

It was just that a drop off for those horrible speedboats.

Now no pollution from the speed boats, the beach and sea will be inviting for the tourists.

I hope the powers that be stop the Chinese

Wouldn't it be nice if they told the truth about all the viruses they sent to the world over the years.

The "Paper Dragon" aka the CCP, is playing with fire around the world and, led by the "Quad Alliance composed of India, Australia, Japan and the USA, will soon go up in flames. The Thai government is infamous for trying to straddle the fence as the did in WWII. However, the leaders of Thailand who are so enthralled with their mentors to the north  need to take a long hard look at the new world order and the impending fall of China. The time will soon come when Thailand will have to get off the fence and chose a side. They might just find themselves at odds with their fellow ASEAN members and be left in the cold as more and more companies leaving China chose Vietnam.

China should report and worry about their own country as they now have hundreds of thousands people homeless and thousands dead or missing from the ongoing floods, the majority of farmland covered in water

Xinhua is the biggest news

propaganda in China?

"And a lonely farang looking at his phone."

Who said he was lonely? if that was me on Pattaya beach, I would be enjoying the peace and quiet, with no Chinese, no speed boats, a nice quiet beer and a snack with a leisurely peaceful swim, bliss and certainly not lonely.

Oh! on the phone, just checking my pension had been transfered to my bank in thailand.

Nonononono, the prices are up 300%. There's a Cat 7 typhoon coming. Floods. Drought. Apocalypse!

Don't say such things, they might come back in.

Excellent post, I agree 110%! I am packing up right now and getting very excited to leave this rat infested, deserted, boring town!

Perhaps the CCP is trying to discourage its citizens from going to Thailand, as a fair few dollars get shifted out of China that way.

The world is reeling, you really think Thailand could stop the reeling at it's borders?

Perhaps they will turn Pattaya into a big prison since they are such popular tourist attractions!

Dont think the underwater boats will materialise, just like the high speed rail.

Laos' high speed rail seems to frighten off the government.

Governments are widening up about Chines "help'" and investment.

Do Chinese think that they were the only one in Pattaya ?!!! ???????????? and since they are not there this is the end !!! ????????????

Oh but how nice it is without the Chinese. Let's hope they find another destination to ruin when this Chinese flu is over

What will be done with the new Bang Sue railway station if no flashy high speed trains are coming after all?

CCP possibly saying....."go back when we own it!"

Correct, Now lets see, you ordered 5 Nuclear subs, you have only paid for 2, OK OK don't worry,  you can have the other 3 for free, however, as stated in our agreement if you default on payment we now own Phuket.

Sounds like a good excuse to panic another 'visa' suggestion

Imagine they published this story so Thailand gives the Chinese an even bigger discount

Yeah, that's what they said in the mid 70's when the GI's departed and look what happened.

well .... there's two barstool drinkers who agree  ....

I guess I'll need to bookmark their article. One of the very rare occasions that China's state news agency isn't lying!
