OMG....................how totally ignorant of history can one person be?

This has horrendous overtones.

TIT, no clue of the connotation this will give to those with a wider view of recent world history.

That's bad enough, as long as it's not a permeant tattooed on personal number, the real test coming up is Bill Gates and wife (China/WHO/UN) trying to flog off their dodgy mercury laced vaccines to all, the way politics are going in western countries now with more lock downs, they will soon be making Corona vaccines compulsory, will Thailand also bring in the same thing ? if they did you can bet it would be the 'Foreigners' being the 'compulsory paid for vaccine' Guinea pigs, That's If they want to visit or stay 'long time'.

It's not what you think it is. Look better. It is a leg and a foot.

I'll have to change the prescription for my glasses, it looks like a leg and a foot to me.

Now, we are seeing the true colours of the Thai authorities.  They have never wanted foreign tourists, only their money, and never liked the ide of independent tours going about the country as they wanted.

Now, Covid has given them  an excuse to put a check on all tourists.

It is no good TV members pretending they are valuable members of Thai Society.  Consider how much an average retirement visa holder spends, compare with the spending estimate of all these new SV tourists.

It will not be long before Thailand is proposing a minimum daily spend for the SV holders; and not 100Baht/day.

Not until 2021 or later will the government wake up and count the arrival numbers, and maybe realise that their policies are not working.

Remember, the government is doing everything to encourage tourist to come, it is just that most are too stupid to realise how much they need to visit Thailand.  How long before Prayuth starts ordering tourist to visit Thailand.

No problem, the first 2 loads of Chinese, 1 goes to Pattaya to buy all the empty guest houses and bars and organise there refitting into gold shops, money exchanges, Chinese hotels and luxury spas.

This has already happened in Chiang Mai, and you should see the glistening gold shops and Casino on the main Rd of Tachilek now

The other goes to Bummingrad hospital for treatment.

The scandanavians are just wealthy people returning to their holiday homes.

The second act to follow STV will be 6 million Chinese who have been vaccinated.

Act 3 will be Russians with a Sputnik 5 certificate.

Europeans will have to wait for the Yanks to get the Fda to give the green light to whichever of the big pharma companies in the multi billion dollar political fight.

The Thailand after lockdown will be vapourised and replaced with the above.

Update

The first flight which is going to Phuket from China is made up by 120 CP group corporate business men. They have paid 173K Bht for the trip which includes 3 meals a day, Quarantine, Covid tests, airfares and insurance. Plus visa

They are not classified as normal tourists they will spend 90 days in Phuket. Just read this on independent news source outside Thailand and I don't think that they will be wearing wrist bands. Their mission will be called Snap.

Snap up all the bargains.

Also news today China is already vaccinating hundreds of thousands including business men and vaccine company staff.

So Prayut knows more than you think, Thailand is about to be rolled over, Walking St will be the main St of the new China Town Phuket.

A casino might even be on the cards.

Oh, also what a great way to secretly test that these vaccinated business men do not infect a single soul or become infected

A Mr Dhanin is a Chinese billionaire based in Bangkok and is chairman of CP Group, go figure

How would they know who the tourists who are supposed to wear bands are vs the expats who are already here ? I could make a band out of Chang poptops is that would help.

 Collectively .

Tourists / expats living here , are known as Aliens ..

Only a matter of time before we all are chipped .

I'm happy to wear a wristband, as long as Thais wear one too. Somehow, I think that's a bridge too far even for this government, much as they would like the concept.

Sometimes when I go to temple, a monk puts a sai sin wristband on me. But it won’t send any signals to GPS satellites.

Ohhh nooo , this one is just a really bad idea , how can you welcome people , then immediately load them with a criminal style bracelet ?

Enough suffering has occured , this is a tiny step , really is time to start getting people back in a welcoming manner , this will not assist .
